    The Center for Applied Linguistics is recruiting heritage language learners 18 or older in grades 11-16 to serve on a paid student advisory panel. The purpose of this panel is to support the development and dissemination of materials highlighting federal government career opportunities for heritage language learners of Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Persian, and Russian. Advisory panel members will meet three times during the project (2021-2023), and the panel will review draft project materials and upcoming plans during each meeting.     The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Fellows Program is recruiting students who are interested in their internship program with local small businesses in Spring 2022. The pay rate is $20 per hour and interns work for 20 hours per week. The mission of this program is to connect small businesses with community college students through paid, semester-long internships. In Spring 2022, the program is particularly interested in hiring students in liberal arts majors (such as the Japanese Option), who can meet the needs of over 50 different small businesses from different industries.
