CUNY offers several experiential learning opportunities for LaGuardia students in Spring 2022. Students can receive on-the-job career experience and will be paid between $15-20 per hour. The deadline is Thursday, December 1, 2022. See below for more info.

The SOAR Internship Program allows students of all majors to explore paid internship opportunities from employers all over New York City, where they can gain skills and further knowledge in their field of study. The priority deadline is December 1st.

• SOAR Internship Placements:
  • Spring Session I (March-June)
  • 10 weeks, 100 hours in total
  • $2,000 stipend ($20 an hour)
• Elmezzi Career Fellows Program
  • Fall Session II (December-February) and Spring Session I and II (March-June)
  • 10 hours a week, 220 hours in total
  • $15.00 an hour
• CUNY Service Corps Program
  • Fall Session 1 and 2 (October – February) and Spring Session 1 and 2 (March – August)
  • Students must be eligible for Federal Work Study Funding via FAFSA
  • 10 – 15 hours per week
  • Paid Internship: $17 an hour until FWS award has been exhausted

Student Eligibility Criteria

• All majors
• Enrolled for a minimum of 6 academic credits for Spring 2023, Session I and II
• 2.5 GPA and higher
• A minimum of 15 accumulative credits
