The 7th edition of the NYFAF film festival (https://www.nyfaf.com) on April 20, 2023 all day.
NYFAF has the aim of expanding cultural awareness and exchange among LAGCC students and faculty through film, music, and scholarly interventions about Amazigh people and cultures of North Africa. NYFAF is a Global Learning co-curricular event and a collaborative effort between the Education and Language Acquisition, English, and Humanities Departments. In the past six years, the Forum committee has developed and distributed Global Learning assignments and readings to faculty for course and extra credit. The Forum has also engaged students as interns who participate and innovate along with us in all phases of the event. The 2018 novelties included a competition for the best short film.
