The NYS Court System is administering the Per Diem Court Interpreter Written Exams between June 19 and July 3, 2022. The pay rate for the Per Diem (freelance) Court Interpreter is $300 per day and $170 for a half day. Only high school diploma is required to apply (but you should be able to work legally in the U.S.). The exam application deadline is June 1, 2022. See the links below for more information on the exam. On the following website (the first link), you can find examples of the English proficiency test as well as a short movie of the non-English language proficiency test (the example is Spanish, but all other languages follow the same procedure).
